Complimentary airport lounge access worldwide

Mastercard Airport Pass

Effective 1 October 2021, Mastercard is launching Mastercard Airport Pass MEA, a mobile app and web solution powered by DragonPass. This service replaces LoungeKey program available on your Advance Credit card, which will be no longer be available from 31 December 2021 onwards.

Your airport lounge benefits remain unchanged and the new mobile app solution will ensure a seamless and cardless access to selected lounges worldwide.

How to access a participating lounge:

download the app for free from Google Play™ or the App Store
register your HSBC Mastercard credit card in the app
geolocation displays eligible lounges nearby for you to review the benefits available to you
simply present the mobile app to lounge reception staff and enjoy touchless entry using a quick response (QR) code
end-to-end digital fulfilment without the need to show your physical card

Purchase protection

Summary of benefits

To insure purchases made with a HSBC Master cards against theft or accidental damage occurring within ninety (90) days from the date of purchase as indicated on the store receipt, up to the per occurrence limit of USD 2,000 and subject to the annual aggregate limit per cardholder of USD 5,000.¹

Eligible persons

Holders of valid primary and supplementary HSBC Master cards.

In the event of a Claim

Just call at +973 1721 8057 within 15 days from the date of the incident for claims within the Kingdom of Bahrain and within 30 days from the date of the incident for claims abroad. You will then need to complete a claim form and hand it over along with the following:

Original purchase receipt
Photocopy of the billing statement
Photograph of damaged property
Damaged property when requested
Full description of the circumstances preceding the loss/damage
Original police report in the case of lost/stolen/wilfully damaged property

The Insurer will then give you a cheque to refund the value of the purchase less a fee of BHD 15 per claim, subject to the policy terms and conditions.

Property that is covered under a guarantee or warranty unless the loss or damage is not otherwise covered
Contact lenses and spectacles
Dentures and other medical aids including but not limited to hearing aids, artificial limbs, crutches, wheelchairs, walkers and braces
Consumables and perishables
Motor vehicles, motor cycles or their motors, equipment and accessories (including communication devices intended solely for use in the vehicle), bicycles, marine craft, aircraft, model air planes and boats
Business property or property purchased to be used for a business purpose
Cash, bank and currency notes, cheques, traveller's cheques, money orders, postal orders, postage stamps, securities, negotiable instruments of any kind, bullion, rare or precious coins, documents or tickets of any kind, unset gemstones
Livestock, pets, animals, plants or other living creatures
Property sold or given to others except for property that is given to spouse and children
